BUSY LINZI WANTS TO FIND TIME TO BE A MUM

Thursday May 17,2007

IS Linzi Stoppard getting broody?

The electric violinist tells us that, although she and husband Will aren’t in a huge rush to have babies, they are looking forward to starting a family.

“We are planning on having children but in a couple of years,” Linzi says. “We’re so busy at the moment and I’m still only 28.

“Plus Will’s always occupied, running his mum’s company, so we don’t really have the time.”

Linzi, fresh from a roof-top performance at the newly refurbished Park Lane Intercontinental Hotel, says that her mother-in-law, agony aunt Miriam Stoppard, would like more grandchildren.

“She’s already got 10, or is it 11, grandkids but I’m sure she’d quite like some more.”

The violinist, daughter-in-law of playwright Sir Tom, added that her open-air performance yesterday morning was one of her more daring yet – especially when she decided against bulky safety gear, opting instead for a strappy red dress and spike heels.

“I was supposed to have a bungee tied around me in case I slipped or something,” she says. “But it got in the way so I risked it. But I think there might have been complaints about the noise from neighbouring hotels!”

Linzi, you rebel.
