DICK’S NO SCHOLAR
Tuesday November 18,2008 It’s not the sort of job you’d normally be worried about telling your parents you had chosen but for Felix Francis, son of crime writer and retired jockey Dick, his plans to become a teacher didn’t go down well. Dick and Felix, who spent 17 years in the classroom, now write novels together after Dick came out of retirement in 2006 and Felix gave up teaching – a career change his 88-year-old dad prefers.
