BROTHERS TAKE A SWIPE AT TENNIS TRADITION

SPORTING BROTHERS Dann and Brian Battistone are causing a stir on the tennis circuit with two-handled rackets.

The brothers, ranked 206 and 207 respectively in world doubles, recently paired up to win an event using them.

The double-hitter, dubbed The Natural, has a fork-like grip for dual-handed play. But some of their opponents have appealed to the umpire – they think it’s just not tennis.

Brian, 29, from Las Vegas, said: “We knew some people would be against the racket. There’s a lot of tradition in tennis so this is quite radical.”
