MURRAY INJURED AGAIN

Murray suffered the injury playing doubles with brother Jamie in the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this month.

The British No1 is hopeful of returning to action in time for the Masters Series event in Rome, which starts on May 7. “I think Rome is realistic,” said Murray.

“I started hitting again a little bit too soon to see if I’d be OK to play Estoril and I felt my back again, so it’s looking like I’m going to have to miss that.

“But Rome and Hamburg are the big tournaments before the French Open and I want to make sure I get ready for them.”
