Police have arrested three people over a fatal stabbing

Saturday July 19,2008

A man has died after being stabbed in north London in the early hours of Saturday, Scotland Yard said.

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the 27-year-old's death, which came less than two days after teenager Frederick Moody was fatally stabbed in the city.

The stabbing happened not far from the scene of the death of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella, whose funeral was held on Friday.

In the latest incident, the Metropolitan Police said they were called to Junction Road, Tufnell Park at 2.50am and found the victim suffering from a stab wound.

He was taken to the Whittington Hospital where he died at about 4am.

A post mortem examination will be held at St Pancras Mortuary and an incident room has opened at Barking police station.

Police said they were keeping an open mind as to any motive.

A 41-year-old man, a 30-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman are being held at separate North London police stations.

Police are also continuing to question a 16-year-old arrested in connection with the death of 18-year-old Frederick Moody, known as Freddy.

A gang of up to eight hooded youths are believed to have lain in wait for him outside his south London home.
