THOUSANDS of knives are freely available on the internet for young thugs who are unable to buy them in shops.

A Sunday Express investigation last night discovered 15,793 deadly weapons openly for sale on auction site ebay. Most have the promise of free delivery, making it impossible to check a buyer’s age properly.

Nine-inch SAS boot knives compete with British Army daggers at just 99p, along with a special forces “urban defence blade” at £13.99 – well within the price range of today’s teenagers.

There are also samurai swords, designed to take off a limb in a single swipe, and even a specially designed knife set for teens which comes packed into a child’s skateboard.

Making them available to kids is not a wise thing, especially in today's culture, where it seems to be the weapon of choice in an otherwise fair fight.
Personally, I have carried a knife for most of my life, but as a tool. Not once, during a confrontation, did I ever think of reaching for my knife...I never considered it to be a weapon.
If anyone is put off Ebay, for any reason whatsoever, then feel free to visit another great website... http://www.wilkvais.co.uk . You won't find knives there, just loads of other great stuff!

Again we hear that should knifes and guns be banned, I were a responsible fire arms holder, untill residing in the UK, my fire arm were used twice in anger, once to stop a armed rapist who were rapping a femail in the street, and once to stop a armed burgaler in my home, on both occations the weapon were used within the law for the preservation of life, that meant the life of the victims not the criminal In the UK it is not legal weapons that kill but illegal weapons, hand guns are freely available on the streets at a fraction of the price they would cost if they were purchased legaly, it is easy ebay do not alow postings for hand guns as they are ellegal, The sellers on ebay should only be allowed to sell the knifes if it is done through thier paypal system then both seller and buyer can be identified through thier bank accounts.

were do these thugs get the money to buy knives ?,
probably off parents,
eBay doesn't carry a notice asking people to buy knives for thugs to kill people with,

top and bottom of it is,
we need tougher deterrents, examples made.

the next thug to stab someone whether it results in fatality or not should be given a life sentence with minimum 15 years,
and a warning sent out that this is the minimum sentence,

we need to get tough now or this country is finished were law and order are concerned.

I don't buy off it because I don't know how but if I did, I would because I cannot resist a bargain. You should not boycott a shop because you do not like one of it's products; you buy cheap because most of us have no choice now.

In the dark days of apartheid, I banked with a bank that banked with South Africa. I had banked there for years and I was blowed if I was going to change to a leftie bank like the Co-op just to please Peter Hain.

Going back to Ebay (Whatever that is) the knives are not a problem, its the thugs that use them to threaten people. A Scout site was entered by local police last week to lecture the kids on carrying knives and told them they should not carry them around on site but to keep them in their tents. Well, excuse me! There's a big difference between a Scout using his knife in a backwoodsman, or a pioneering session; and a feral thug carrying a carving knife on the street.

The excuse the police made was the site had public access!

it's a disgrace isn't it... But what about the guns these young thugs are getting their hands on, I suppose that will be on every front page next week... who makes them guns, it's not the young thugs is it, response to stimulus, if the guns were not there, nobody would be shooting? & what about the drugs these kids are getting their hands on... who makes them, & how do they get here so easily?, or the alcohol that is often seen on the streets, response to stimulus, if they were not there the thugs would not consume them. How many normal houdhold knives are used by these thugs?? some of them are seriously sharp, cheap as well, These kids are angry, sick & tired of being suppressed & controlled & dictated to, there is hardly any room for self actualization is there? They are scared to..
