LABOUR'S ATTEMPT TO SECURE BORDERS HAS BEEN A DISASTER

SHAMBLES: Gordon Brown's security measures have been a disaster

Sunday June 29,2008

After 11 years of inept administration we should no longer be surprised by this Government’s incompetence but the new report by the Inspectorate of Constabulary into the state of our Customs reveals just how harmful lacklustre Labour policies really are.

Last year Gordon Brown announced that security at our borders was to be tightened and the Customs service reformed. Targets were set and mobile units formed but the result has been a disaster.

Resources have been concentrated on large harbours and airports, leaving great stretches of the country wide open.

Instead of strengthening security, the moves have turned Britain into an open house. There are now an alarming number of ways terrorists and drugs and arms smugglers can enter without fear of apprehension.

Border security has never been more important but this Government’s botched policy has left us more vulnerable. The point of reform is improvement; Labour has simply dismantled our front line of defence.

LABOUR'S ATTEMPT TO SECURE BORDERS HAS BEEN A DISASTER

29.06.08, 8:42pm

What I find incredible is the fact that here we have a report identifying, as if we weren't aware, that while Gordon Brown was in the Treasury he has been hell bent in cutting to the bone anything to do with our borders security, thus the vast influx of illegal immigrants, but because he is so stupid, he didn't realise that in doing so, he would place this country in great jeapardy from terrorists attacks.
Let's face it, where has the opposition been while all this has been going on? Why did they allow Nu-labour to do this, you may well ask yourselves. I have a strong feeling that in today's politics, the opposition without too much effort, will make some token gestures of opposition towards certain government policies, but in fact, what they do is simply nothing. The idea behing this is simply to give the government has much rope as possible, so that they may eventually hang themselves by losing face with the electorate and then for the opposition to get elected at the next general election and then straight back onto the gravy train of government

AFTER 11 YEARS OF INEPT ADMINISTRATION BRITAIN TURNED INTO AN OPEN HOUSE

29.06.08, 6:46pm

Have Labour done anything right during the past 11 years? NO.

Have any of those mealy-mouthed, money-grabbing parasites whom inhabit the House of Conmen expressed any concern about our porous borders? NO.

As a dear friend of mine in the USA has this minute emailed me: "CONSIDERING THE STATE OF THE UK, THE BEST THING YOU COULD DO IS CONCRETE IT OVER FROM JOHN O'GROATS TO LANDS END AND LET IT BE USED FOR AMERICAN JETS."

It now transpires, with more problems for Labour North of the Border, that the Westminster Gravy Train is beginning to wobble off its rails.

Another day, another soldier or more killed in Afghanistan.

Another day, another youth stabbed to death in London.

Another day, the same utter clap-trap from the mouths of politicians, who are incapable of addressing any problem let alone resolving it.

Nobody should be surprised that hundreds of thousands of migrants have swooped on this country. Free accommodation. Free food. Free furniture. Free health care. Free money. Everything free.

There is not another country on this planet where you could just turn up unannounced and immediately receive so much, without contributing one penny towards it.

Perhaps if our hypocritical MP's were to devote just 1% of their time in the House of Conmen to sorting out the dire problems in the UK - instead of engaging in bloody wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - our borders might be more secure.
