SHOULD BRITAIN QUIT THE EU ALTOGETHER?
Gordon Brown will attempt to save the EU Treaty
GORDON Brown will attempt to save the hated EU Lisbon Treaty today despite growing opposition across Europe.
The Prime Minister is meeting EU leaders in Brussels to discuss how to salvage the document following its rejection in a referendum in Ireland last week.
Mr Brown faced fury last night as the Government forced the treaty through its final Parliamentary hurdles. It was due to get Royal Assent and go on to the statute books early today after being backed by the House of Lords.
Labour and Lib Dem peers rejected a last-ditch Tory bid to postpone passing the treaty into law. Anti-treaty protesters, furious about the surrender of more sovereignty to Brussels, heckled peers as the issue was debated.
In the Commons, David Cameron accused the Government of cowardice for pressing ahead with ratifying the treaty.
The Tory leader said: “I’ve seen more spine and leadership from a bunch of jellyfish.”
He said to Mr Brown: “Why don’t you give some leadership, tell us what you think and kill this treaty today?”
* Do YOU think Britain should QUIT the EU altogether?
* Should Gordon Brown be trying to SAVE the HATED EU treaty despite growing opposition?

Did you mean that observation, or was a comment to emphasize the thrust of your argument?

Eighteen months ago I predicted the euro would outstrip the pound. It is now obvious how the euro has grown while the pound keeps on shrinking. In the past few months the sterling/euro exchange rate has risen by 15/2% against the pound which not only means we have to pay much for holidays in Europe but also
such differences make our exports to Europe that much dearer. If for any reason we left the EEC emmediately we would be bankcrupt by the end of the week. The pound would fall faster than Newton's apple. So, all this talk about leaving the European Common Market is total lunacy!

THE UNHOLY EUROPEAN EMPRE
04.07.08, 1:57pm
A Promise from a Previous Politician.
“There is no question of eroding any national sovereignty; there is NO blueprint for a federal Europe. There are some in this country who fear that in going into Europe, we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty. These fears I need hardly say are completely unjustified"
Edward Heath, British Prime Minister 1972.
(Seven Years Later) "The aim was, and is... ever closer political union.
Edward Heath 1979.
That piece of deception spelt the death knell for the UK and the eventual break up of the Union. But the rot started 30 years earlier.
We won a war, we are now losing a war and the fifth column are our own people, they sit in our parliament and are selling us out piecemeal to a European federation which unless the sedated peasants wake up from their coma and actually do something, could one day morph into the Unholy European Empire.
The good news is, I am confident that over a very short period of time the EUSSR is going to implode and the peasants of Europe are going to regain their governments, their unique identities, loyalties and customs and the nightmare we are experiencing will have just been a bad dream.
While we remain in the EU we are subjugated to them, we are governed from Brussels by consensus by unelected Kommissars. We need the EU like a hole in the head!
But it is imperative that the people are aware that the political ideologies of the three main political parties are identical, so vote for any of them and you vote for the status quo Its your call people.

IS THE EU GOOD FOR EMPLOYMENT? NO!
04.07.08, 11:53am
Sir,
A G Burnett raises the hoary old spectre of our leaving the EU leading to mass unemployment.
What nonsense! Even Neil Kinnock, whilst still a EU Commissioner dismissed this idea. No-one is suggesting that we would no longer trade with continental countries. Remember, they send more goods to us than we sell to them. Indeed, without all the unnecessary EU regulations, out businesses would flourish. We are, and always have been, a global trading nation.
Still, when there are no good arguments for staying in the EU, it's not surprising that some cling to fallacies.

QUEEN ELIZABETH THE LAST, OUR CONSTITUTION AND TREASON
03.07.08, 10:33am
While signing away our ability to rule ourselves the Queen has not violated the constitution, because Great Britain unlike America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand etc, does not have a constitution, thus the problem of passing governance of Great Britain to a foreign country does not require her to face constitutional lawyers to decide whether or not there has been any violation.
As I understand it what we do have is an unwritten constitution. For people that are not aware, on becoming a full member of the EU that anomaly will be righted because sometime in the near future we will be governed by the proposed European constitution.
Incidentally according to a senior EU Commission official, that there are five countries where he and his colleagues are determined to avoid a referendum on the EU Constitution, they are Britain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark and Poland. Of course all five could and some most certainly vote against the Constitution, this would obviously create even further obstacles as they attempt to find a way round the democratic votes in France and Holland.
Returning to the constitution, this constitution we have without having actually having a constitution is drawn from a number of sources, i.e. being found in the statutes such as the Magna Carter of 1215 and the Act of Settlement 1701; Laws and Customs of Parliament, Political Conventions, Case Law or constitutional matters decided in a court of law and from constitutional experts who have written on the subject. I emphasize there is no written British constitution but there is an unwritten one based on the rule of law and the supremacy of parliament.
But let’s discuss the Queen’s treason. Treason is an entirely different kettle of fish. Treason is an offense of attempting by overt acts to overthrow the government of the state to which the offender, in this case the Queen, owes allegiance or to kill or personally injure the sovereign or the sovereign's family. Violating our unwritten constitution does not constitute Treason, but violating her oath of office does.
She has by signing one EU treaty after another knowingly or unknowingly aided or abetted the overthrow of the government of the state to which she signed an oath of allegiance at the signing of her Coronation Oath, the oath of office being Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the Peoples of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand?
By signing treaties that pass that governance to a foreign power to me constitutes a crime of Treason. So the question one must ask is why she has not been tried for treason? I am glad you asked, it’s a valid question indeed.
Treason does not fail because many colluded together to commit the crime, The Queen, members of The House of Lords and the members of the Commons all took an oath of allegiance to Britain, the fact that we have effectually ended up with a revolutionary system that ignores the previous unwritten constitution of Britain does not mean that according to that Constitution there was no crime of treason to answer.
So in conclusion what are the chances of getting Queen Elizabeth the Last and her co-conspirators to face court on a charge of treason? Buckley’s! But for anyone who wants to achieve fame and notoriety overnight might I suggest a method of achieving this. You personally take the Queen to court on a citizens arrest to answer a charge of treason, a charge which you personally will represent yourself using legal aid.
Now this will achieve two things, firstly notoriety is assured and secondly the public will be made aware that the Queen by her actions IS answerable to explain why she should not be charged with treason, and to explain why her actions and the actions of her politicians of taking the United Kingdom apart and handing it piecemeal to a foreign power against the wishes of an estimated 88% of her people is not a treasonous act.

IF IT REALY MATTERS TO YOU
02.07.08, 11:54am
I believe that the most urgent matter Britain is faced with at this time is the continued errosion of its sovereignty and freedom for which millions have fought and died for. The three main political parties will NOT bring us out of the EU. If it really matters to you as much as it should, join UKIP. This is the only party (outside BNP which no sane person would join) which gaurantees to get us out. At least send for the information pack from UKIP and make up your mind. This is not a matter in which we can be laid back about. The voice of the people will be heard though the ballet.
