The creator of new expert resource FindaTVexpert.com, said: “I’d been thinking about how to use my TV skills in a different way for a couple of years.

"It just came to me, I could create a business to solve a work problem I’d experienced.”

The concept drove the business model, making set-up straightforward. “I knew what I wanted from the site, it was harder choosing the colours for the design,” she admits.

“I spent a lot of time ensuring I had a comprehensive terms-of-use section. But there are good business guides around to help start-ups.”

Richmond turned down the chance of producing a new TV consumer series to concentrate on building her enterprise, which has cost £25,000 so far, including living costs.

“I am busy all the time researching or networking,” she declares.

“There’s nothing like living on your own savings to keep you focused.”
