But Abramovich has agreed to Scolari’s rules and from now on will stay out of the playing areas.

A source close to Brazilian Scolari said last night: “The agreement was a clear part of the conversation between Scolari and Abramovich that preceded him signing. Scolari is the only person who goes in the dressing room. No suits and ties.” 

Scolari will also be bringing to Chelsea his trusted No2, Flavio “Murtosa” Teixeira – the man who has been described as Scolari’s ‘secret weapon’ and his eyes in the dressing room.

The pair have already drawn up a list of transfer targets that they want to lure to Stamford Bridge, including Samuel Eto’o from Barcelona,  AC Milan’s Kaka and Portugal stars Deco and Ricardo Quaresma.

Teixeira told the Daily Express last night: “We have been given the freedom to establish a comprehensive list of players that we want to bring to Chelsea.”
