In through the door and out through the chimney used to be a joke about a hospital I worked in that was near a crematorium. Well, it's more reality than joke these days in a number of hospitals.

MULTI SEX WARDS
22.05.08, 4:20pm
I would be very nervous about going into hospital because of the cleanliness factor and the the fact you may end up worse than when you went in with the dangerous bugs that we read so much about nowadays.
But one thing would definitely keep me out and that is having to go into a multi sex ward, where is the dignity, the privacy we all need,my husband would not let me sleep in another bedroom with a man in it,and I wouldn't want him sleeping in a bedroom with another woman,so why do they expect us to that in a hospital.

AFRAID TO GO TO HOSPITAL

im already in one, leedsoncology, brand new £22mill building! been in 5 months for chemo.
i had a dr prescribe me some drugs at beg of one chemo, then half way through they had to postpone last part of it ,because of the drugs he given me,could have made me very ill.same as ever though ,they all close ranks, appanetly this "qualified dr" was covering me for all eventualitys, believe it or not a staff nurse picked it up..
we have had to make a fuss abt the cleaning, had to make a fuss to get the fridge lifted on to a table, the head of cleaning was horrified at the dirt under it..and im supposed to be under infection control.
the food in general is disgusting .as a vegie all they ever serve is "something " in a cheese sauce.cant have salt in the cooking put they dont mind my cholestrol going up,its not rocket science or expensive nowadays to cook decent vegie food.
the veg ,well i took pics of them,no nutrition left in them at all.
i had to ask for clean towels after 3 days,
ivd had meals missed, good job i have a hubby who could bring me food in.god help people who dont.
i had extra drugs given out to me or not enough ,im lucky i have a bit abt me.there are people who poss wouldnt know what should have been.
last week (i have a hickman line)my hubby was helping out of bed, when he went round the bed ,there was blood all over the floor, leaking out from one of the lines that hadnt been clamped.excuse was "it happens sometimes"there is no way these lines can come undone.
yes they have save my life (they think, dont give definates for fear of being sued
would i be afraid to go into hospital again.....damn right, not a cat in hells chance.i could go on for a while,.....
