13M TO SEE STRICTLY FINAL

Former pop star Alesha Dixon and ex-EastEnders actor Matt Di Angelo will compete to win the show, expected to give the BBC its biggest audience of the year.

And the newly reunited Spice Girls will give an exclusive performance.

“We’re very excited about tonight’s show,” a BBC spokeswoman said. “Even the judges have said this has been the series with the highest standard of dancing they’ve seen to date. Matt and Alesha will have to go a long way to improve on their already wonderful performances.”

Dixon is favourite to win, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes. “Punters are clearly not convinced by Matt,” a spokesman said last night.
