HAVE YOUR SAYSHOULD INHERITANCE TAX BE ABOLISHED?
Wednesday October 10,2007 DAILY Express readers achieved their greatest victory last night as the Government sounded the retreat over inheritance tax. Chancellor Alistair Darling announced an immediate doubling of the threshold for the death duty to £600,000 for millions of families.

WE PAY ENOUGH TAXES WHEN WE ARE ALIVE

Most people work all their adult life and pay tax on what they earn and on their savings. If savings are over a certain threshold they even pay tax after retirement.
Then to add insult to injury, the Government can then take a huge wedge out of any inheritance saved for to provide for the future of their spouse / children.
I for one, will spend it as we earn it, little wonder the economy is the way it is!

I think it is a diabolical disgrace to have Inheritance Tax, its like taking advantage of people's loss and grave robbing.
I would not like to think that all that I am working for to ensure my daughter is left a nice sum of money to see her by once i am gone, is going to be dipped into by the greedy government, I am not working as hard as I do to leave the state money, I already pay enough in taxes to the state, so why should they have any part of my estate that is well out of order.
I say abolish this unjust tax and stop grave robbing and taking advantage of those bereaving whose loss is enough without the state robbing them of what they value as well.

IVE JUST POSTED ITEM DEAT TAX

It makes me mad that where I live there are a a large amount of eastern european families. I pass by the Social security offices and hear their talk as I walk by. The enheritance tax my children willhave to pay will be going to cloth and feed and house these people who have paid hardly anything in. Its a problem where Ilive, they dont work, they sign on for all benefits and cause a lot of cries in this area. This country must be the most unfair of all. Immigrants should have s job, money in the bank and somewhere to live before they can live here. Most other countries demand that. My children will be out of their home because they will be crippled by taxes for these people. UNFAIR!!!
