Friday November 6,2009

By Elisa Roche

TERRY Wogan joins singer Sharon Corr and Pudsey Bear yesterday to launch his bid for a Christmas number one.

Sir Terry sings lead vocals on a cover version of The Beatles’ All You Need Is Love which is being sold to raise money for the BBC’s Children In Need campaign.

On the single he is accompanied by Sharon, Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason, Bryan Ferry, Queen’s Brian May, Joseph star Lee Mead and soprano Hayley Westenra.

If Sir Terry, who retires from Radio 2 next month, hits the top spot it will be his highest-ever chart position.
