Sofas hold more family secrets than you would think

THE average family sofa witnesses 293 rows, 1,369 cuddles and 1,600 spillages in its eight-year life.

Children also lose four toys a month down the back of it, a survey of 3,000 households found.

Mike Pickard, of home insurer esure, which commissioned the survey, said: “If the nation’s sofas could speak they would certainly have a lot of tales to tell.”
