BRIAN Meehan’s 2000 Guineas and st James’s Palace stakes runner-up Delegator has been bought by Godolphin.

The son of Dansili found only Sea The stars too strong in May’s Newmarket Classic and was just a neck behind Mastercraftsman at Royal Ascot.

And since neither of those two are up for sale, Delegator is the next best thing.
