WHO SHOULD BE EU PRESIDENT?

Tony Blair is making a last-ditch effort to take the EU presidency

Wednesday November 4,2009

THE signing of the Lisbon Treaty by Czech president Vaclav Klaus has ushered in a new era for European Union counries.

The EU will now get a new rule book creating a European president and strip Britain of powers to control its own borders.

The British government no longer has veto powers in 40 areas — from energy to public health and industry.

Brussels will get the right to set its own taxes. The Treaty permits the EU to impose its own taxes directly for the first time, on top of national taxes, in order to raise its “own resources” for the EU itself.

Rounding off a day of national shame, Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague conceded defeat in the Tory battle for a national referendum over the document.

Mr Hague put the blame squarely on Labour for not sticking up for Britain.

He said: “It is a bad day for democracy. The people of Ireland have had two opportunities to vote but the British people have never even voted once, and we will not let people forget whose responsibility that is.

“Gordon Brown promised people a referendum at the last election – the people have never been consulted in a general election or a referendum.”

Tony Blair has been trying to shore up support for his bid to take up the presidency but his hold chances are slipping. Foreign secretary David Milliband has denied he was a candidate for the top spot.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE LISBON TREATY?

I will tell you - down the pan.Country is betting on EU pulling us out of the gutters. We are being sold out by our politicians to EU.Because it is beneficial to them. What it means for u and me is more taxation over and above what we are paying now.Stupid laws, cheap labour force for EU,more immigrants, loss of power to the British subjects. You will not get parity of state pension with EU.or come to that wage scales.Quite frankly u can kiss your a--e goodbye.EU is about business not you.At the end of it will be a third world war.In this country we are going to be faced with poverty like u have not seen for generations. This scandal of expenses with our political anal vermin is exactly what they want because the package they will receive now will be beyond their wildest dreams. You are dead as a people going into EU only a chosen few will reap reward.I for one do not want to be part of EU (it stinks for the working classes).Don't believe me do your homework and research on the Internet. We are as near a big brother state as u can get.Join EU and it is a refined version of communism.
I am British bought up to believe in freedom of speech a democratic society i believe we should direct our freedom and politicians.Home rule.Britain for the British we fight our own battles. We do not want Euro s--t

Don't forget that it was mister Blair who pushed Britisch soldiers into the war in Iraq, only to please mister Bush. Didn't they call him: "President Busch's puppy!" No thank you! We want a European to become the EU President! Not a puppet on American strings!

Oh what a delight it would be to see Mr BLiar stripped of his dream to become the president of the 4th reich (Hitlers Dream).
Oh what gladness we would all share at the disgusting Cherie being knocked off the pedestal of 1st lady.
A Lady is someone who would show Her Majesty the Queen respect. Cherie does not qualify as a lady. A trollop maybe, but not a lady!!!

WHERE IS IT ALL GOING?

This continual knocking of the Police,no matter in what circumstances it just goes on and on,could this government be cheering behind the scenes when they politicized the police that if it continues it will make way for a Euro Police, just like they have weakened this country, making it ripe for the EU controlling mechanism.
Like when a company is nearly on it's knees someone sees their chance to take it over.
Does it make any sense that London was the Finance Capital of the world and here we are the last ones to come out of the recession, always a sceptic me, it appears to be a part of the rich pattern for this country on Labour's drawing board, when?
Twelve years ago, weren't we supposed to have a genious for a Chancellor about that time?
