EXPRESS COMMENT

POLICE ARE OUR PROTECTERS

Friday October 30,2009

SOME of the qualities police officers must possess include common sense and a degree of physical courage.

They are the very last people to need mollycoddling and infantile health and safety advice about such dangers as slipping on mushy autumn leaves or being blinded by bright sunshine in the summer.

No wonder that officers serving in the West Midlands Constabulary are insulted at being subjected to a campaign to raise their awareness of “seasonal dangers”.

An even greater insult is to the millions of taxpayers whose hard earned money is wasted on such nonsense. there can be no greater proof that Britain’s nanny state is completely out of control.

POLICE AND LEAVES

30.10.09, 4:47pm

Government are responsible for the lunatic claim culture that now exists. As a result every organisation has to cover its backside by stating the bleedin' obvious. This means that when someone tries to sue them for some pathetic incident they can point to the leaflet and say you were warned!
we only have ourselves to blame
