YOU will need a very strong tolerance of whimsy to fully appreciate Paper Heart, a self-indulgent pseudo-documentary in which gormless comic Charlyne Yi travels America to discover the meaning of true love.

A sceptic who believes she is incapable of love, she hears words of wisdom from celebrity pals (Seth Rogen, Demetri Martin etc), happy couples, schoolchildren, scientists, bikers and even an Elvis impersonator.

What really starts to change her mind is a tentative romance with Juno actor Michael Cera. Some viewers have found this film adorable but its quirky cuteness was lost on me.
