He lived a wonderful life just as he made life wonderful for people who watched his movies. Pure pleasure. He knew his craft and he added himself to it.

Sacriligeous? Not in my opinion. Charlton Heston never treated his roles with irreverence, injurious treatment. On the contrary, you could become a believer if you were not simply by watching his performance as the many great characters in the Bible.

It is just too bad that one has to grow old! So many wonderful actors have stalked across the silver screen in Charlton Heston's company - grown old, and then passed on. But their memory lives on. Thank heaven for recordings, for videos.

Thank heaven for one such as Charlton Heston. And may he in heaven receive the approbation, "Well done.'
