NOTHING TO HIDE, NOTHING TO LOSE
25.02.08, 6:13am
Nothing to hide, Nothing to Lose and everything to gain in finding the guilty and eliminating the innocent.
Why would any innocent person be concerned about having their DNA, fingerprints or anything (which could eliminate them from a crime) recorded and retained?
It would be logical and help solve crimes quicker if the National Database could require everyone to provide samples of their DNA by law.
European judges should have no say in our laws or what information our authorities keep to fight crime. The EEC once again is being used politically instead of keeping to the trade and cultural links we all voted for.
Let's get rid of the fat cat MEPs too and save ourselves £ millions!!!

NOT GUILTY?
23.02.08, 10:36am
It is beyond ones imagination why anyone should be placed on the DNA data base when they are not guilty or are never charged for the suspected offence.
The DNA samples and fingerprintng of the suspects before they are found guilty, and thereafter not removing them from the database, should be considered a crime in itself and the authorities prosecuted.
The jails are full of people who are criminalised on the flimsiest grounds (such as non-payment of "illegal" council taxes and other government debts) whereas the real culprits are left free to roam the streets.
If the Home Secretary, with her 24 hours police protectection, is afraid to walk the streets of London, one can image the plight of the ordinary people.
