AFFORDABLE MY ARSE!
22.12.07, 12:00pm
with regards to Prescotts affordable homes scheme,he failed to tell everyone the little bit about a developement of say 1000 homes could be called an affordable housing scheme so long as one of the homes is classed as affordable housing, leaving the developers to make thier usual massive profits on the remaining 999 homes.
Also if this lying communist government was serious about helping poeple on to the property ladder they could easily cut income taxes, bring back tax relief on mortgages, lower stamp duty etc,but the reason they do not is the simple fact that one of the foundations of communism is the destruction of privately owned homes, they want everyone to live in government provided and regulated estates(you only have to look at the new blocks of flats being built, they all resemble soviet tennement buildings).

PRESCOTTS £60,000 HOMES FOR FIRST TIME BUYERS?
22.12.07, 10:51am
Didnt you realise that it was just rhetoric made to sound good at the time.
That is exactly the tactic that Labour used on many occasions. All they had to do was "say it" and make it sound plausible.
It didnt mean that they actually had to make it happen - just make it sound as if it was going to happen.

HOUSE PRICES

Average price £175,000! What happened to Prescott's £60,000 homes for first time buyers? He should not be allowed to 'retire' to his mansion until he has sorted out the job he was given to do by Bliar!
