The Government is also preparing a VAT rise which will add at least 2p-a-litre to pump prices

Along with everything else, this is a particularly nasty little tax as it affects non motorist as well..but this imposition must be part of what Gordon Brown who is still very much in control at the treasury, refers to as "feeling our pain" and "he has faith in the UK electorate"..

I say call an election and we will see!
