Why Do I Need An ID Card......?

Seeing as i already have a Photo Card Driving License , a Valid Passport with my photo in , i am also a member of a home office approved rifle/shooting club (with CRB background check ,and Police background check) and a Home Office and Police approved Shotgun Certificate ,and am currently in the process of doing the appropriate checks for a Home Office/Police approved Section 1 Firearms Certificate..........WHY THE HELL DO I REQUIRE AN ID CARD ? UNLESS IT IS SOMETHING THE GOVERNMENT WISH TO FORCE ON THE PUBLIC.

Give it a few months and the shops ,post offices ,chemists that are being touted as places to give you're details will not serve you with their products unless you sign up for a card and give you're prints ,retina scan and biometric details..............this is the thin end of the wedge......also the cost has been stated as £30..... this is a lie, it will be £30 for the card ,with an extra £30 payable to the shop for taking the details and then there is an additional £100 payable to you're local council and county council.
