As much as I hate to say it.......

As much as I hate to say it I do think the main reason the euro has not had the success that was seen for it is the fact that Britain never joined.
As much as I disliked the thought of losing the pound sterling I do honestly feel that if Britain had joined at the outset the euro would have had a much better chance of becoming an establised currency than the outlook looks now.
At least we would have joined with a better exchange rate and that rate would never have been devalued like it has now as we would all have been under one currency.
Still they always say hindsight is a wonderful thing but if we had joined I do not think we would all be in such financial state as we are now.
Then politicians always think they know best and the general public never has a say in any of these momentus decisions.
No wonder we are all heading down the slippery slope to financial ruin.
