folk are now asking us what we should do in the face of nuclear war ...

... I just pray for the preservation of natural beauty; where no human hands have meddled.

This is really my only concern.

Mankind has openly invited all these present imminent catastrophies and horrors for centuries; it's much too late to start making amends or complaining to God because he gave us freedom of action.

... That a snowdrop or two may survive hidden under their icy protection; that is my concern ... and that the evil will be routed out and burnt to a crisp in gamma rays ... if necessary, along with the good ... That way maybe little children, eventually, could be safe once more from the likes of the diabolical Haut de la Garenne and the pervading satanic silence of such an event!

This is really my only concern in the face of nuclear war.

Yes, It's simplistic;and I cannot find a hint of an apology or excuse in my heart!
