I have glanced through my window and the sky is cloud covered and the temperature is about 14 degrees. England looks grey and worried. There is no wind, all is very still as though waiting for something to happen.
There are no donkeys in my garden, only my cat waiting patiently.
Today I have a busy schedule and I will be away till the weekend. The motorway awaits . I will face it with distaste.
And as I drive through madness and some semblance of organised rights of way you will be preparing the land before the sun begins to scorch when you will take your siesta as the seeds take hold sprouting their shoots ever upwards.

Is labour incapable of ensuring our safety ?
From the moment we are born we take our chances. In our "civilised" society we hope that our laws and our rights will protect us from harm. We hope we have the right to walk our streets in safety. But "civilisation" brings its own horrors as the realisation of unfairness and inequality eats at the minds of the disadvantaged. The angry young man is born and he lashes out at the world that served him a double ration of misery. I have always felt some empathy for him. He needs to have a job, an apprenticeship, somewhere to go and something to do.
I do not defend him. I am not a socialist. But I understand him. And while he is around we will never be safe.
