Community sentencing has always been a joke. I have a friend who collects these thugs on a daily basis and many of them just don't show. The courts are lax in this country and we have to start with shaking up the judiciary services to act more severely where crime is concerned. Tough gaols with no computers, gyms etc. Their days must be spent in Education and doing menial tasks from dawn to dusk. Money has to be poured into the prison service and all the back up services must be available to help these thugs become responsible citizens. All foreign criminals should be expelled back to their own country on first offense with no appeals. We are far to soft and lenient in this country and it has got us to where we are today - high crime rate and no go areas. I am sick of the lefties trying to tell us that the criminal has to be understood - the victim has to be understood and the criminal must pay for his crime in longer sentencing with tougher conditions. I do not wish any crime to be committed against anyone but I sometimes feel that if someone in government had a terrible crime committed against them in their family things might change.
