MP's Expenses

Published: Sunday May 25,2008 by bobdee

The MOST shameful move was taking the money in the first place. If these expenses were all above board and legal, and they were genuinely entitled to them, then they should'nt have any problem with them being published. The fact that they are trying to stop this publication would suggest that they were NOT all above board and legal. Whether they are successful in their attempt to hide these expense or not, they should ALL now be investigated by the Serious Fraud Squad and if any misappropriation of Public Money is found, they should be arrested and charged with theft, if found guilty their assets should be seized and sold to pay back the equivalent amount + interest. They should then be treated as the common criminal they are, and locked up for some considerable time. I've read to-day about two of them who claimed the premiums for their life insurance on expenses, how on earth can that be construed as a Parliamentary expense.
